Mission

The Teaching and Curriculum RIG aims to improve undergraduate and graduate instruction in rural sociology by: (1) Examining and sharing teaching best practices; (2) Discussing rural sociology curricula and the curricular roles of related courses, both within and outside formal rural sociology programs; (3) Fostering and recognizing professional development in teaching, emphasizing but not limited to teaching assistants and early career faculty; and (4) Enhance the value attached to instruction within the discipline.
