Mission

The Teaching and Curriculum RIG aims to improve undergraduate and graduate instruction in rural sociology by:

• Examining and sharing teaching best practices
• Discussing rural sociology curricula and the curricular roles of related courses, both within and outside formal rural sociology programs
• Fostering and recognizing professional development in teaching, emphasizing but not limited to teaching assistants and early career faculty
• Enhance the value attached to instruction within the discipline
