Rural Gender Issues

The Rural Gender Issues RIG is committed to the expansion and transmission of knowledge about women, gender, and sexuality in rural places by acting as a liaison among scholars and activists interested in those issues and by providing a support network among women and individuals of diverse socioeconomic and racial backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities and physical challenges within RSS and beyond.
