The Kansas Rural Center will host its biggest ever Food and Farm Conference this year – a celebration of our 35th anniversary – in November at the Four Points Sheraton in Manhattan, Kansas. This email is an invitation to you to sign-up to attend and promote your business, organization, or community at this year’s big event. Our 2014 Conference will offer a great venue for getting your message out and sharing materials with a great group of Kansans interested in rural issues, farming, and local food systems.

Best of all, your involvement in the Conference will be fun and help KRC continue its work into the future. The theme of this year’s conference is, “Sustainable Agriculture: A Once and Future Vision” – which points to our long history and continuing commitment towards growing a more sustainable farming and food system in Kansas. You play a key role in that vision, and we hope you will join us for this big event!

Please read below for more details on the conference, and how to register as an exhibitor, sponsor, donor, or participant this year (deadline for sponsors and exhibitor sign up is August 31).

Conference Description

A full two-day slate of conference workshops will provide conference goers with helpful information, valuable connections, and inspiration across a wide range of subjects, including: practical farm management, diversification and transition strategies, beginning farmer connections, community and food advocacy training, and more.  See the attached flier for a list of additional activities and an the all-star group of keynotes we have lined up for both days.

The Opportunity to Take Part

KRC welcomes registration from sponsors and exhibitors for the conference, as well as local food and beverage donations and auction items. Proceeds will benefit KRC’s future work in growing a sustainable farming and food system in Kansas.
