The Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Geography invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position which will begin August 1, 2014.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree in Sociology with an emphasis on quantitative & qualitative research methods, plus a specialty in environmental sociology, population diversity or social psychology. Candidates should provide evidence of excellent teaching ability, have an established research record, and evidence of external funding. Post-doctoral or applied experience is preferred. UT Chattanooga is an engaged metropolitan university with opportunities for community partnerships. The Chattanooga campus of the University of Tennessee is seeking candidates who have the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University.
