Western Social Science Association, Call for Papers
The Western Social Science Association (WSSA) is a multi- and inter- disciplinary social science organization that hosts great annual conferences. These conferences are an excellent venue for presenting new work, meeting old friends and new, and introducing both undergraduate and graduate students to the world of academic conferences in a welcoming and collegial environment.
The 2014 conference will be held April 2-5 in Albuquerque, NM. I am writing to you as the new interim section coordinator of the Environmental Policy and Natural Resources Management section, to let you know about this conference CFP.
Please find the call for papers and a call for posters attached. I have also attached the informational flyer for the student paper competition, which is a great way to get for students to get recognition of this work, as well as a new dissertation award being offered. WSSA is increasing its offerings for students, and will have more travel funding available for students traveling to the 2014 conference. This is a great conference for students, and I encourage you to tell your students about this opportunity.
Please note the deadline for submission is DECEMBER 1, 2013. Please submit paper or panel proposals for the Environmental Policy and Natural Resources Management section to me at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Of course, there are many other sections at WSSA – including history, public administration, sociology, rural studies, economics, etc., etc. – and more information about them can be found at http://wssa.asu.edu/.
