Assistant/ Associate Professor of Environmental Education & Interpretation
The Department of Environmental Studies at the College of Environmental Science and Forestry located in Syracuse, NY invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position to begin Fall 2020. We are seeking an enthusiastic science educator with a focus on teaching, science/ environmental outreach, and research. This is an Academic Year position with a 2/2 teaching load with responsibilities that include: Personal Interpretive Methods, Non-Personal Interpretive Methods, Advanced Interpretation & Certification and an undergraduate/ graduate level course in science literacy/ pedagogy/ course design. The ideal candidate will have broad training across natural history interpretation and science/environmental education, with a proven teaching record, and experience stimulating curiosity in, and encouraging excellence from, students with diverse backgrounds.
