Ralph B. Brown gives his “last lecture,” offering advice on academics, life, and the eternal search for truth.
Ralph Brown, Executive Director of the RSS, was honored by Brigham Young University in being invited to present a “Last Lecture” on Friday, December 13th. His talk, “Crossing a Frontier by Exposing Yourself to New Ideas; Why the Search for Truth is the Hallmark of an Academic’s Life,” can be seen here. An audience of approximately 400 was on hand for this Last Lecture. Ralph, in his own inimitable way, made clear he reserved the right to have a series of Last Lectures.
In early October, Ralph Brown, the Executive Director of the RSS was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer. BYU invited Ralph to deliver a lecture. This took place on Friday the 13th of December 2013.
