University of Mississippi–The Department of Sociology and Anthropology (www.olemiss.edu/depts/soc_anth/) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Sociology starting Fall 2014. We seek a sociologist of proven teaching and research ability in the area of social stratification.
We are seeking a candidate who utilizes an intersectional approach to social inequalities and can complement the strengths of our current faculty. We welcome applications from candidates using qualitative and/or quantitative research methodologies. Our Department offers the B.A. and M.A.in sociology. Ph.D. (or ABD status) is required at the time of application. Candidates should have an active program of scholarly research and a strong commitment to excellence in the classroom.
